A hot tub that no longer runs, or one you just don't use, takes up a lot of yard. Getting rid of it isn't simple: it's heavy, it's usually wired in, and regular trash pickup won't take it.

EEB takes old hot tubs apart and hauls them away, along with other items that need special handling: treadmills, tires, scrap metal, old carpet and construction debris. We serve Long Island and New York City.

How A Hot Tub Comes Out

  1. Send photos of the tub, where it sits (deck, patio, indoors) and the path out to the street.
  2. We quote based on size, access and whether it has to be cut apart.
  3. On the day, the tub is taken apart as needed and loaded out.
  4. Metal and other parts are recycled where facilities accept them; the rest goes to proper disposal.

Before we arrive

The tub must be safely disconnected before removal. Where qualified or licensed electrical work is needed, you can arrange it, or EEB may coordinate an appropriate provider. Drain the tub if you can.

Treadmills And Exercise Equipment

Treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and weight sets are heavy and awkward to get down stairs. We remove them from wherever they are, taking machines apart where needed.

Other Items That Need Special Handling

  1. Tires: hauled away for proper disposal. Quantity, tire type and disposal requirements decide what we can take, and large quantities are quoted separately.
  2. Scrap metal: old railings, sheds, frames and metal debris.
  3. Old carpet: pulled up and hauled away.
  4. Construction and renovation debris.
  5. Electronics, sent for proper disposal, or recycling where accepted.
  6. Mattresses and box springs.

How much does hot tub removal cost? −
It depends on the tub's size, where it sits and how easy it is to get out. Send photos and we'll quote it.
Is it hard to get rid of a hot tub? +
It's heavy and usually wired in, so most people hire it out. The number of visits depends on the tub, access, disconnection, how much dismantling is needed and the removal method.
Do you remove built-in or in-ground tubs? +
Yes, case by case. Built-in and in-ground tubs need an assessment first, and the work may involve demolition, electrical or plumbing work, specialized equipment, permits or restoration. We quote after review.
Will you damage my deck? +
We take care getting the tub out. If a railing or section of deck has to come off for access, we'll discuss it with you and get your approval first.
Do you take treadmills from basements? +
Yes. Let us know about stairs and tight turns when you send photos.
