How pay and growth work at EEB
Raises and promotions are not automatic. They are based on sustained performance and company needs, and they take effect only when approved in writing. The first pay review is generally around 6 months; a review is not a guaranteed raise. The timings below are typical review points, not raise dates.

Promotion not automatic
- Starting pay is $17.00/hr, or any higher rate the law requires for the assignment.
- Your first months are an introductory period with paid training. Check-ins at about 30–60 days and 90 days review how you're doing; they are not raise dates.
- Raises and promotions are not automatic. They are based on sustained performance and company needs, and they take effect only when approved in writing. The first pay review is generally around 6 months; a review is not a guaranteed raise.
- Each role's pay range shows potential pay for that role. It does not guarantee a particular rate or a timeline to reach it.
- Pay is hourly. EEB does not currently offer bonuses, commissions or incentive pay.
- Employees are paid for hours worked as required by applicable law. Work schedules and additional hours are subject to management approval and company policy.
- Field crews are paid weekly. Office staff are paid at least twice a month.
- On public-work or other covered projects, the legally required rate for that project (such as prevailing wage) is paid from the first hour.
- Tips customers give you are yours.
- Hours, schedules and assignments are set by EEB based on available work and are not guaranteed.
- Skills, duties, hours and hourly pay are decided separately. More hours don't automatically raise the hourly rate, and a higher rate doesn't come with more hours.
How the hiring pool works
- Apply once. Pick every kind of work you want, plus the areas and days you can work.
- We may contact you when a job or opening fits, by call, text, WhatsApp or email, whichever you choose.
- Short interview and, for skilled roles, a quick hands-on check of your work.
- Written offer with a pay notice (NYS LS 54), then paid training. Check-ins at about 30–60 and 90 days are performance reviews, not raise dates.
Being in the pool doesn't guarantee an interview, a job, hours or continued employment. You can update your availability anytime.
